Eric Parker originally hails from Columbus, Ohio, but moved to New York City in 1994 to break into theatre. Whatever acting talent Eric has, however, has been overshadowed by his looks and physique; he's most often cast in parts requiring little clothing or modesty. Today, his acting career is in a bit of a slump, although he still makes his regular rounds at casting calls.
Between auditions, Eric is a waiter at the Crandall Grille, a fashionable restaurant on Times Square. In his spare time, he enjoys shopping, watching soap operas, singing karaoke, and reading his favorite comic strip, "The Bedroom Blunders of Crotch and Kinky."

Eric's friends and family sometimes grow impatient when his fertile imagination gets the better of him - like the time he imagined that his entire life was a comic strip - but they understand that his flights of fancy are a side effect of his creative nature.

In addition to his sister, Mary Ann, he has a younger brother, Andy, who still lives in Columbus. Eric tends to be a bit quick-tempered and slow-witted, but is basically a nice person, a loyal friend, and a passionate lover to Joey.
